Social-emotional learning (SEL) helps children understand and manage their emotions, build healthy relationships, and develop skills like self-regulation, empathy, and problem-solving. These skills are the foundation for lifelong success—both in the classroom and beyond. At Stronger Roots, we focus on practical, play-based strategies that children can use every day.

Each session is carefully structured to be engaging and hands-on. Children participate in interactive activities, guided discussions, and games that promote social-emotional skills. Small group sessions allow for personalized attention, while whole class sessions integrate SEL naturally into the daily routine. Teachers and caregivers also receive strategies to reinforce these skills throughout the day.

Our services are ideal for preschool and early elementary classrooms, children in early intervention programs, and any child who could benefit from additional support with social-emotional development. We work with both neurotypical children and those with developmental delays or behavioral challenges.

Small group sessions provide targeted, personalized support for a few children, allowing for deeper skill practice and individualized guidance. Some children struggle to learn in a larger group but might thrive in small group lessons.
Whole class sessions bring social-emotional learning into the entire classroom, creating a consistent, inclusive space for all learners—while giving staff the opportunity to observe best practices in action.

We partner closely with educators by providing coaching, and strategies to support skill development outside of our sessions. This includes guidance on managing classroom behaviors, promoting positive interactions, and reinforcing SEL skills at home or school. Our goal is to empower adults so that children receive consistent, meaningful support.
